It was raining tonight so our new patio finds were out - and our usual Mexican spot was packed- so, we tried another Mexican restaurant. We loved it. My spicy shrimp was really more flavorful than spicy- but in a great kinda' still spicy enough for the name way. It was plated beautifully with lettuce, tomato, onion, sliced avocado, orange and lime. So simple yet, stunning. The bathroom puts it in our regular rotation. The counters were sparking! It smelled clean but not chemical laden and they had a changing table that had clearly been cleaned properly and regularly- with kids that's a really big perk! My daughter loves salsa, but it ends up all over her dress! The only downside is that the margarita wasn't impressive- it was fine, but not good. I'll try it again, but if it's the same I'll check out the draft beer.

I come to this location and most of the time I am not disappointed. The meals are numerous and range between $5-18. I really like the burritos which range in size and fish tacos are good. After 7PM this location is packed. I like the service and I am stuffed silly after I leave :) Wallet friendly fot the food you receive.

Ask for the Cilantro & Onion Salsa. Squeeze a Lime over the top. It will make your meal.

we eat here often (as well as other Mexican restaurants). I love their Carne el Carbon. it comes on a hot skillet. Similar to a fajita but they cook it with jalapenos . Nice and spicy but a great flavor combo. It comes with rice, beans, and a separate salad. the staff is always helpful and check on you often and keep your glasses full. If you like MX food, this is a great place.

I was staying next door at the Hampton and decided to try it out since it was so close. Walked in and encountered two very bitchy and unfriendly hostesses. After they went out of their way to barely acknowledge me and go above and beyond and actually seat me, it was infinitely better after that... then again, it couldn't get much worse. The waiter was extremely attentive and quick. The other wait staff was just as good and the food wasn't too bad either. I got the chicken fajitas, which wasn't anything that you couldn't get at any other Mexican joint, but decent. Despite the hostesses, I would go back again for the service and good food.

For a reason I cannot put my finger on, if we eat out mexican food in Olive Branch, this is where we go. It is quieter and cozier than some other places. The food is good, and usually the service is fine.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
